'Crust & Craft Pizzeria initiated from an aspiration: to introduce real Neapolitan pizza to Florence. Inaugurated by the Moretti household in 1985, our pizza place began as a quaint local venture, employing recipes passed through the family for generations.
Olivia Moretti, the progenitor, mastered the techniques of pizza crafting during her time in Italy, receiving guidance from renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—pizza's homeland. Subsequently returning to the UK, her ambition was to replicate the essence of Neapolitan pizza, using age-old baking traditions and the finest ingredients available.
Beginning as a cozy 12-seat pizzeria, we have now become a cherished community favorite, yet our dedication to excellence and genuineness has remained strong. We continue to utilize traditional wood-fired ovens, prepare our dough from scratch daily, and procure the best ingredients obtainable.
Today, 'Crust & Craft Pizzeria is still within the hands of the Moretti lineage, with the second generation now at the helm, guiding our fervent team. Despite some modern updates, our core goal remains the same: serving savory, bona fide pizzas that unite people.
